The Beatles played at The Royal Variety Show in 1963 tonight at The Prince Of Wales Theatre, London.

With the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret in the audience, John Lennon made his notorious remark, “In the cheaper seats you clap your hands. The rest of you, just rattle your jewelry”. They broadcast the program on UK television on Nov 10th, 1963.
