About the Song
Picture being 100 days deep in the thick of a zombie apocalypse. The ground is smouldering. A raven flies overhead. He’s been watching the whole thing unfold – or, more appropriately, unravel. Across a bloody highway he sees dying drifters, drag queens in despair, and wild dogs lurking in the shadows. The lyrical imagery is anything but subtle, illustrating a dark sense of unease and misery. “100 Days Deep” is set during a zombie war, but Jonez intended it as a metaphor for the early days of colonization on Turtle Island.
