Coldplay was awarded the biggest-selling act of 2008 at the World Music Awards held in Monaco. The band picked up the prize ‘ along with the Rock Act Of The Year award ‘ after their current album Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends topped charts around the globe.
The rise of Coldplay was fast. The band has since released Ghost Stories (2014), A Head Full of Dreams (2015) and Everyday Life (2019).
The British band has remained intact with the four original members.
