Berry Oakley Killed in Motorcycle Accident

The Allman Brothers Band bass player Berry Oakley was killed today in 1972 when his motorcycle hit a bus. The accident occurred three blocks from the site of a crash that took the life of guitarist Duane Allman a year earlier. Oakley was 24 years old.
