thebuzzr indie | JEBS: “TIGRES BABOUINS” (ORIGINAL)

Artist/Band: JEBS (artist)
Release Date: 18/12/20
Location: United Kingdom, London

Cult French alternative artist and producer JB Pilon is giving us a new musical project. JEBS enthralls.

Pilon showcases his multi-instrumental talent in the two-track single. “Instant Précis”/”Tigres Babouins” is out, ahead of his debut full-length album due for release in summer 2021. He uses French-language poetry over spectacular psychedelic grooves.

JEBS creates from Buffalo Studios on Cable Street in London, UK. The accomplished artist has been a studio owner and sound engineer for more than a decade. He has toured with and played in diverse bands.

The music is unique and created in a wonderful theatric fashion. Pilon uses spacious effects, verdant imagery, and chant-able euphoric verses. All this while blending various of his band influences. Of course, he added that charming French twist.

The artist collects vintage instruments. He uses these in the release. Listening will take you back to the 70s sound. Bathe in a vintage feel with “Tigers Babouins”. The accompanying video has French teenagers partying in the 1970s.

The refrain is groovy and dark.

“Quelle est notre connexion à ce moment précis?

Se pourrait-il qu’on s’aime toute la nuit?”

 Translation:

“What’s our connection right now?

Could it be that we’d love each other all night long?”

Like its’ creation, the song has a multi-faceted purpose. Listening, you could meditate, dance with your mate or chill down and catch its groove.

JEBS’s current release is one to add to any playlist.

Artist Background:

Whilst creating multi-lingual and multi-instrumental music, JEBS climbs high. In 2012, the Guinness Book of Records recognized him for playing and recording the highest-altitude gig in history. He was at 6500 meters in the Himalayas. The feat will be on an even bigger scale in 2021, climbing up to 7300 meters.

He creates experiences that exist in the dizzying thrill of that moment. His writing, producing, and mountaineering blend well to create these.
