Hey, y’all. I am Shay. This is thebuzzr podcast.

Welcome & enjoy. Episode 61.

First, music history for July 12th.

Today in 1954 19-year-old Elvis Presley signed a recording contract with Sun Records. He also gave in his notice at his day job at The Crown Electric Company. Sam Phillips from Sun Records wanted to use Elvis to make demos of songs meant for other artists. He soon realized that here was the man who could bridge the gap between white and black performances.

Oslo, Norway artist John Revelle joins us today. We chat about his banger album It Was Always Too Late and spin two tracks from the album. It is a four-song EP of soulful Americana at different stages of one’s heartbreak. The EP is biographical, and incredible journey to take with the artist.

Enjoy the show!
