About the Band

Based in Sunderland UK, NT-GB are:
VOCALS: GAZ BROWN
GUITARS/BASS/VOCALS: NICK THOMPSON
RYTHMN GUITAR: STEVE GRAHAM
HAMMOND ORGAN/KEYS: ANDY TRAINOR
DRUMS: MARK CLIFF

A little about the band – we are all musicians who have been dipping our toes into the north east UK music scene over the last few years. Myself (Nick) have been in bands such as monochrome and uncle monty, Mark our drummer was in ghost signals, and our keyboard player Andy was also in monochrome – we have all been good friends for years whilst also crossing paths in our music.

The songs are written by me, Nick, which I started at home during a 3 month furlough period in 2020. Not being the strongest vocalist i asked my friend Gaz Brown to cover lead vocals, hence the name NTGB.

Mark offered to put drums onto the music and at that point it became too much of a project to keep in the bedroom studio, so we took pre recorded files into first avenue studio in newcastle and set about finishing tracks. The first two received a positive response at the start of 2022, so we are now keen to finish our first album.
